UBAKA LANDMARKS is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) entity with a mission of developing BUJA CITY PLAZA a major modern commercial and shopping complex currently under development in the heart of Bujumbura, Burundi. It is being constructed on the site of the former Bujumbura Central Market, which was destroyed by a fire in 2013

The project is a strategic public-private partnership (PPP) between the state of Burundi and UBAKA LANDMARKS, a joint venture involving the state-owned youth bank BIJE and the ONE AFRICA INVESTMENT FUND founded by UBAKANATION GROUP. The partnership with the state of Burundi is set for 27 Years, 3 years of construction development and 24 years of concession only for the first phase, expected to be extended according to the other phases.
